Why Practice Meditation and Yoga?
Yoga and Meditation offers self-reflection, building self-awareness and self-compassion. They both connect body, mind and spirt which can help with stress, insomnia and anxiety. Meditation can be a challenging practice, learning to train your attention and awareness in today’s world can be tricky, but extremely rewarding. Some believe to meditate you must sit still and clear your mind, however there are many meditation techniques that can use to help calm your mind, relax your body and your enhance spiritual practice. Techniques such as mindfulness, focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity. Yoga is a type of moving mediation. No-one is the same and different practices suit different people. If you get easily distracted or bored this blog will help you find a meditation that suits you.
Why am I doing this?
I have been teaching Yoga for a while now and I’m always asked how to meditate? Every class I offer a different style of meditation to find out what suits them best. Most people like to have a seed (something to focus on) as silent meditation is sometimes nice but can be difficult to keep hold of. I love hearing how yoga or meditation has helped my clients and what they enjoy.
I am hoping to encourage more people to practice Yoga and Meditation. To share the beauty of doing nothing and being nothing. The art of feeling amazing, knowing you are enough and not judging yourself. I wish to show others how to notice the beauty of the world we live in, how to send out love and how to welcome love in from the universe.
